1. Our Philosophy

We believe fandom is a creative ecosystem. Fans are welcome to participate in the community, create fan content inspired by our universe, share their work with their own audiences, and take part in the broader conversation. This includes videos, art, edits, commentary, reviews, analysis, and critique.

However, there are still parameters on how the IP can be used:

  • Our characters, stories, world, visuals, and related materials are owned and protected intellectual property
  • We manage how that IP is used, monetized, and expanded
  • Creating fan content does not automatically give anyone the right to monetize, sell, or commercially exploit our IP

These guidelines are meant to make room for that creativity while protecting the IP, the official story, and the long-term future of the franchise.

2. Ways to Create

You may generally create and upload fan content without prior approval when it meets the following criteria:

Provides Added Value or New Context

  • Commentary, reactions, reviews, criticism, or analysis
  • Memes, edits, or remixes that add a clear creative point of view
  • Lists, rankings, explainers, or recap-style videos that include your own framing, commentary, or interpretation
  • Parody or other fan-made work that meaningfully changes, comments on, or reimagines the original material

Original Fan-Made Work Within Our Universe

  • Short scenes or reinterpretations
  • Character-focused content
  • Non-canonical ideas clearly presented and declared as fan-made

Free and Publicly Available

  • Posted on YouTube, TikTok, social platforms, or other free-to-access channels
  • Not behind a paywall, subscription, paid download, or members-only access

3. Examples of What Is Not Allowed Without Permission

The following are examples of uses that require explicit approval or a license. This is not a complete list.

Full or Near-Full Reuploads

  • Uploading full episodes
  • Uploading large, uninterrupted segments
  • Posting raw clips with little or no added commentary, editing, or creative value

Raw Asset Use

  • Uploading or redistributing official music, models, scenes, sound effects, or other assets
  • Using official materials in a way that lets others extract or reuse them

Paid or Gated Content

  • Patreon-only videos
  • Paid downloads
  • Subscription-only access
  • NFTs or blockchain-related uses
  • Selling access to fan content based on our IP

Merchandise or Products

  • Selling apparel, toys, posters, stickers, collectibles, prints, digital goods, or other products using our IP
  • Using our characters, logos, or assets on products without approval
  • Mass-producing fan-made goods

Official Impersonation

  • Claiming or implying your content is official
  • Presenting yourself as affiliated with us
  • Using our IP to promote an unrelated business, product, service, or brand

Additional guidance on avoiding official confusion is included below in Identifying Your Content as Fan-Made.

4. Identifying Your Content as Fan-Made

Fan content should never make viewers think it is official, endorsed, licensed, canon, or produced by us.

Please do not:

  • Use “official” in your title, branding, description, or channel name
  • Present fan-made stories as canon
  • Use our logos, brand names, or official materials in a way that looks like an official release
  • Copy the look of our official channels, websites, packaging, or marketing
  • Create titles like “Final Episode,” “Official Season,” “true ending,” or anything else that could confuse viewers about what is official
  • Present full seasons, ongoing storylines, or large narrative projects in a way that could reasonably be mistaken for officially licensed content

Suggested disclaimer:

“This is unofficial fan-made content and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Skibidi Toilet or Invisible Narratives Inc.”

5. How Different Types of Content May Be Handled

We use platform tools, including Content ID and similar rights-management systems, to identify use of our IP and manage how it is monetized.

A claim may affect who can monetize a video. Your video may remain live, and ads may be redirected to us. A claim does not automatically mean further action will be taken

Content may be handled differently based on how it uses our IP and how it is presented.

Examples include:

Commentary, Reactions, Reviews, and Analysis

  • Usually allowed
  • Less likely to be claimed when the content adds meaningful commentary, criticism, discussion, or interpretation
  • May be claimed if it relies heavily on reused clips, scenes, music, or other official materials

Edits, Clips, Lists, and Recaps

  • Usually allowed when they add a clear creative point of view, structure, commentary, or new context
  • May be monetized by us through platform claims

Dubbed or Translated Content

  • Often claimed
  • May be removed or reviewed more closely depending on how much official material is used and how it is presented

Story-Based Derivative Content

  • Reviewed more closely
  • May be claimed, contacted, restricted, or removed depending on scale, monetization, narrative scope, and whether the content could be confused with official or licensed canon

6. If Your Content Is Claimed

You may continue creating within these guidelines. However, repeated uploads that rely heavily on official material, cross narrative boundaries, or violate these guidelines may lead to further action.

We take these matters seriously, if you believe a claim was made in error, please follow the platform’s review and dispute process.

7. Enforcement

Most content will be handled according to the categories above. We may also take action when fan content creates issues outside normal rights management.

This includes content that:

  • Targets, harasses, doxes, impersonates, or invades the privacy of employees, creators, partners, or community members
  • Uses our IP to mislead viewers, impersonate official accounts, attack others, or cause harm
  • Creates confusion, safety issues, or brand/community harm that cannot be resolved through a standard claim
  • Otherwise threatens the integrity of the official universe, community, or long-term franchise

We review these situations case by case and may claim, restrict, remove, or take other appropriate action when needed.
